About Us
Inspired by a Life of Faith and Grace
The Heart Behind the Foundation

The Nadyne G. Johnson Foundation was created to preserve and extend the loving legacy of a woman who gave so much to so many. Nadyne was a gentle force of nature — a nurse who comforted the sick, a mother who nurtured with grace, and a faithful woman who leaned on God through every trial.
When ALS came into her life, she didn’t let it define her. She faced it with strength, unwavering faith, and a smile that never dimmed. Her bravery became our blueprint.
Our Mission
To advance health and wellness by:
- Increasing awareness about diseases like ALS, Lupus, MS, and asthma
- Providing financial and emotional support for patients and families
- Supporting research initiatives and new treatments
- Advocating for early prevention and holistic wellness
Our Vision
The Nadyne G. Johnson Foundation (NGJF) was established as a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization in 2021 to build trust and create hope for the future in our communities by helping individuals lead healthy and fulfilling lives. The Dundrill Heights Spring Break Film Camp was launched during the 2022 Spring Break period to promote diversity and representation within the production, film and entertainment industry among disadvantaged youth. As part of NGJF’s commitment to enhance our communities, we feature daily speakers who are medical professionals, during our film camps who share information regarding ALS, Lupus, and other muscular and respiratory diseases. These speakers help our film campers realize the importance of living a healthy live and reaching their full potential and wellbeing. Since then the film camps have worked with over 1,900 underserved youth in the Birmingham and Greater Birmingham area who have an interest in the film industry in areas such as: screenwriting, stunt/acting, voice overs, stunt, music, lighting techniques and digital editing.
