    The Heart Behind the Foundation

The Nadyne G. Johnson Foundation was created to preserve and extend the loving legacy of a woman who gave so much to so many. Nadyne was a gentle force of nature — a nurse who comforted the sick, a mother who nurtured with grace, and a faithful woman who leaned on God through every trial.

Although this trail was hard she stillencouraged her children to find a pathway forward. She faced it with strength, unwavering faith, and a smile that never dimmed. Her bravery became our blueprint.

    Our Mission

To advance awareness, health and wellness by:

    • Educate youth on the importance of being healthy.
    • Teaching the youth how to discover their voices through the arts.
    • Creating community initiatives for the youth to establish support systems to help push them toward their goals
    • Teaching the youth how to use the arts as a way to advocate.

    Our Vision

The Nadyne G. Johnson Foundation (NGJF), established in 2021 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, envisions a future where youth are empowered to create, lead, and thrive—both in their health and in their creative pursuits. We are committed to building stronger communities by equipping young people, especially those from underserved backgrounds, with access to filmmaking education, mentorship, and real-world opportunities in the film and entertainment industry. Through initiatives like the Dundrill Heights Spring Break Film Camp, we are increasing diversity and representation while helping students discover their voice through storytelling.

At the same time, we remain dedicated to raising awareness about ALS and promoting overall wellness. By integrating health education and access to medical professionals into our programming, we empower youth to prioritize their well-being while pursuing their passions.

With over 1,900 youth served across the Birmingham area, our vision continues to grow—creating pathways for the next generation of storytellers to inspire change, amplify underrepresented voices, and shape a healthier, more hopeful future.
